eVisitor Visa (Class TV, Subclass 651)

The eVisitor visa (651 visa) is similar to the Electronic Travel Authority (Subclass 601 Visa) however it is available for a different cohort.

The eVisitor visa allows eligible passport holders to visit Australia for tourism or business visitor purposes for up to three months at a time. Applications are free and processed electronically, but certain factors can cause delays or refusals.

You must be outside of Australia when you apply.

The following passport holders can apply for the eVisitor visa:

  • Vatican City

This visa must be applied online and is processed by the Department automatically.

Similarly, using the eVisitor visa allows you to visit Australia:

  • As a tourist or for business visitor activities
  • To see family or friends
  • Conduct business visitor activity
