The Victorian Government will be closing their business visas (subclass 188) nominations for new applications after 31 May 2021. If you intend to apply for a business visas (subclass 188) to Victoria, please make sure to put in an application before Monday, 31 May 2021.
It is intended that any application lodged before 31 May 2021 will be decided before any changes of law to occur on 01 July 2021.
It is most likely that Victoria will keep its business visa nomination program closed until the new changes of law takes effect after 01 July 2021.
If you wish to apply for business visas in Victoria, regardless of which state or territory, it is best for you to enquire immediately so you can make sure you lodge an application prior to any changes to occur on 01 July 2021. It is expected that not only Victoria but in fact all States/Territories will be closing shortly before the financial year ends.
As such, it is highly recommended for you to start enquiring with professionals in advance to ensure that you can potentially lodge a business visa application before the States or Territories close the applications for nomination and also to ensure that any potential law changes occurring after 01 July 2021 would not affect your eligibility.
