It is a temporary visa, generally valid for up to 5 years, and can lead to permanent residency through down the track.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 01 July 2021, there are now only 4 streams available in the Subclass 188 visa:\u00a0<\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Business Innovation stream:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For candidates with business experience who want to bring their business or to establish a new or existing business in Australia.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Investor stream: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those who are able to make a designated investment of at least AUD1.5million<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Significant Investor stream: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those who are able to invest at least AUD 5 million. Similar to the investor stream but due to the larger sum of investment, the requirements for the visa are reduced.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Entrepreneur stream: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For individuals sponsored or endorsed by a State or Territory government to undertake a complying entrepreneur activity that is proposed to lead to either\u00a0the\u00a0commercialisation\u00a0of a product or service in Australia or the development of a business in Australia.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4fe390 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f4fe390\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Business Innovation Stream (Subclass 188 A)<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e84a11f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e84a11f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe main requirements of this visa are:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Must be under 55<\/li>\n \t<li>Be nominated by a State or Territory government<\/li>\n \t<li>Score at least 65 points on the points test based on age, English language ability, qualifications, business experience, net personal and business assets, business turnover etc.<\/li>\n \t<li>Held a main business with at least 750,000 AUD turnover for 2 out of the last 4 fiscal years.
