It is designed to attract exceptionally talented individuals who are internationally recognised in their field. It provides a streamlined pathway to Australian permanent residency for leaders in targeted sectors such as technology, health, energy, research and academia.<\/p><p>On 7 December 2024, the National Innovation Visa superseded the Global Talent Visa as the pathway for exceptionally skilled individuals in key sectors to permanently migrate to Australia.<\/p><p>Many aspects of the GTV carry over to the NIV:<\/p><ul><li>Having an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement is still a key requirement.<\/li><li>Whether the applicant earns at or above the Fair Work
