There are now a total of 41 occupations receiving priority under the PMSOL.\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The PMSOL was introduced in September 2020 to fill critical skills that were in shortage or were identified as critical to support Australia&#8217;s economic recovery from the pandemic. This list is temporary and is designed to be constantly updated to reflect the needs of the Australian labour market.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Occupations on this list will be given priority processing in the employer sponsored nomination and visa application. In our experience, the applications can be approved within a few weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since its introduction, several occupations were included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Worker (272511) &#8211; was included on 27 November 2020; and\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Veterinarian (234711) &#8211; was included on 11 May 2021\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 22 occupations in the list below were added to the PMSOL on 22 June 2021:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountant (General) (221111)<\/li>\n<li>Accountant (Taxation) (221113)<\/li>\n<li>Accountant (Management) (221112)<\/li>\n<li>External Auditor (221213)<\/li>\n<li>Internal Auditor (221214)<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineer (233311)<\/li>\n<li>Civil Engineer (233211)<\/li>\n<li>Structural Engineer (233214)<\/li>\n<li>Geotechnical Engineer (233212)<\/li>\n<li>Transport Engineer (233215)<\/li>\n<li>Mining Engineer (233611)<\/li>\n<li>Petroleum Engineer (233612)<\/li>\n<li>Surveyor (232212)<\/li>\n<li>Cartographer (232213)<\/li>\n<li>Other Spatial Scientist (232214)<\/li>\n<li>Medical Laboratory Scientist (234611)<\/li>\n<li>Orthotist \/ Prosthetist (251912)<\/li>\n<li>Multimedia Specialist (261211)<\/li>\n<li>Analyst Programmer (261311)<\/li>\n<li>Software and Applications Programmers (261399)<\/li>\n<li>ICT Security Specialist (262112)<\/li>\n<li>Chef (351311)\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The full announcement from the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/minister.homeaffairs.gov.au\/AlexHawke\/Pages\/supporting-australia-covid-recovery-through-skilled-migration.aspx\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For a full list of the 41 occupations on the PMSOL, you can visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/immi.homeaffairs.gov.au\/visas\/employing-and-sponsoring-someone\/sponsoring-workers\/pmsol\">Department&#8217;s website.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You may\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blmigration.com.au\/service\/book-a-consultation-with-us\/\">consult<\/a> with us to find out more.
